Connect PayPal

Revively can take online payments through your own PayPal Business account using PayPal wallet, Pay Later, and guest card fields on the same checkout page.

Connect your account

  1. Go to Settings → Methods → Providers and open the PayPal card.
  2. Click Connect PayPal and sign in to an existing Business account or create one.
  3. Grant the requested permissions so Revively can create and capture orders on your behalf.
  4. When connected, enable PayPal and optionally set it as your default online provider if you also use Stripe or Square.

What you can do

  • Take online payments on staff invoices and portal checkout (items, packages, events, courses, booking deposits).
  • Offer PayPal wallet and Pay Later where PayPal enables them for your region.
  • Offer guest card fields when PayPal approves Advanced Card Processing for your account (wallet checkout works sooner).

What PayPal does not cover here

  • Platform subscription billing (Revively plan) stays on Stripe.
  • Memberships, saved cards, and payment-plan auto-charge stay Stripe-only.
  • In-person terminal payments are not available through PayPal in Revively.

Platform fees

Invoices that include ticket or application fees send matching PayPal partner fees when your connection includes the partner-fee permission. If fees cannot be collected, checkout fails with a clear message instead of silently dropping the fee.

Security

PayPal REST secrets stay on the server. Revively stores only public merchant metadata (merchant id, email, readiness flags) - not your PayPal password or client secret.
