Track stock with inventory adjustments
If you sell retail - protein, haircare, uniforms, merchandise - inventory tells you what you actually have. Revively keeps a ledger of every stock movement rather than a single editable number, so you can always see why the count is what it is.
Inventory needs the Pro plan.
How it works
Every change to stock is a row in the ledger: a delivery arrives, a customer buys something, you write off a damaged tub, you correct a miscount. Quantity on hand is the running total of those rows.
Sales reduce stock automatically when the invoice is paid, so anything sold at the desk or through your online shop is accounted for without anyone remembering to adjust it.
Post an adjustment
- Go to Inventory in the dashboard.
- Choose New adjustment…
- Pick the Catalog item and the Location the stock sits at.
- Enter a Delta - a positive number for stock coming in, negative for stock going out.
- Choose a Reason: Restock/Receive, Sale, Return, Stocktake, Damage, Transfer, Sample, or Manual.
- Add Notes so the next person understands the movement, then save.
Existing rows are view-only. The ledger is a history, not a spreadsheet - to correct a mistake, post a balancing adjustment with the reason Stocktake or Manual and a note explaining it.
Start tracking an item
Items begin life untracked, which means Revively will happily sell them without counting. To start tracking one, post a Restock/Receive adjustment for the quantity you have on the shelf. From then on the item shows On hand on its record and sales decrement it.
Only track what is worth counting. Untracked items still sell perfectly well, so there is no need to put your entire retail range on the ledger if you only care about the expensive lines.
Reading the ledger
The Inventory adjustments page lists movements newest first. Use Filter item to narrow to one product and see its full history - useful when a count looks wrong and you want to find where it drifted.

Good to know
- Revively does not send low-stock alerts, so build a stocktake into your routine for fast-moving lines.
- Stock is tracked per location, so transfers between sites need an adjustment at each end.
