Connect GymMaster

Use the GymMaster integration when you run (or are moving from) GymMaster and want member profiles in Revively without exporting spreadsheets by hand. Revively reads your member list through GymMaster's API, maps it to customers, and runs it through the same import preview and apply flow as Data Import.

What the integration does

  • Pulls your current GymMaster members into Revively as customers (name, email, phone, date of birth, gender, address, marketing opt-ins, and profile photo when available).
  • Stores your site name and API key securely. The key is never shown again after you save.
  • Lets you test the connection, preview how many members are new vs duplicates, then apply the import. Existing customers with the same email or phone are skipped.
  • Records each member's GymMaster memberid as a legacy id so you can re-import later without creating duplicates.

Memberships, visits, and billing are not synced yet - only the customer list. Pair this with import from another booking system if you are bringing across services and staff too.

Find your GymMaster site name

Your site name is the short slug in your GymMaster login URL:

https://**yourgym**.gymmasteronline.com

In Revively, enter only the slug - for example yourgym, not the full URL. The hint under the Site field shows the full hostname.

If you use multiple GymMaster companies under one site, import still uses the site-level member list exposed by the API key you provide.

Create a Staff API key

You need a Staff API key (not a member portal key). GymMaster uses it to authorise server-to-server reads of your member list.

  1. Log in to your GymMaster admin dashboard at your site URL.
  2. Open Settings → Integrations (or Settings → API depending on your GymMaster version).
  3. Create or copy a Staff API key. Treat it like a password - anyone with the key can read member data.
  4. Paste the key into Revively under Settings → Integrations → GymMaster.

If GymMaster rotates or revokes the key, update it in Revively and run Test connection again.

Connect and import in Revively

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Under GymMaster, enter your Site slug and API key.
  3. Leave Customers (members) selected under Data to import (the only type available today).
  4. Click Save, then Test connection. A success toast shows how many members GymMaster returned.
  5. Click Import now. Review the preview counts, then Apply import to create new customer profiles.

You can open the same job from Settings → Data Import if you want to inspect rows before applying.

Tips

  • Run a test import on a staging workspace first if you are mid-migration.
  • Members without email or phone may still import, but deduplication works best when at least one contact field is present.
  • GymMaster may cache member list responses for a few minutes - a member who just joined might appear on the next import.
  • Only Admins and Managers can save integration credentials and run imports.
