Set up SMS messaging
Revively sends transactional SMS for booking confirmations, reminders, and staff invites. Eligible plans can use a shared Revively AU number; Pro can provision a dedicated two-way AU mobile.
Before you start
- Open Settings → Identity and complete the business details required for SMS compliance.
- Confirm your SMS templates under Templates include the booking-link merge tags you want customers to see.
- Keep marketing opt-ins accurate on each customer - promotional SMS must respect consent.
Shared Revively number
On plans that include outbound SMS from Revively, confirmations and reminders send from the shared number automatically once your workspace is live. No extra provisioning step is required for basic transactional traffic.
Dedicated AU number (Pro)
- Go to Settings → SMS number.
- Choose Get your SMS number (or Continue setup if an application is in progress).
- Complete the regulatory application, Choose your number, and wait for approval. Use Update and resubmit if the carrier asks for changes.
When the number is active, the page shows the number plus recent sent and received counts. Replies can feed two-way support when that module is enabled on your plan.
Usage and overage
Billable SMS (Revively AU shared number or platform sends) is metered monthly in your account timezone. Allowances depend on plan (Solo 200 / Growth 1,000 / Pro 3,000 messages). Overage is charged on your next Revively subscription invoice. BYO Twilio traffic is not metered by Revively. Check Settings → Subscription for your current SMS usage.
Tips
- Staff invites can use the platform SMS path so teammates get a text without waiting on email alone.
- If send volume looks wrong, check Identity fields and template content before opening a support ticket.
- Pair this setup with your online booking portal so every confirmation SMS opens the right booking page.
