Connect Zoom

Connect Zoom and Revively creates a meeting for every online or hybrid class session, keeps it in step when you move the session, and deletes it if you cancel. Nobody has to copy and paste a link into a template again.

Connect your account

  1. Go to Settings → Video.
  2. On the Zoom card, choose Connect Zoom.
  3. Sign in to Zoom and approve the meeting permissions Revively requests.
  4. You return to Settings showing Connected as your Zoom email, and Active video provider: Zoom.

There are no API keys to enter. If the page says Server not configured, Zoom OAuth has not been set up on this Revively server - contact support.

Turn on online delivery for a class

Zoom meetings are created from the class schedule, not from individual bookings.

  1. Open Catalogue → Classes and edit the schedule you want to run online.
  2. Set Delivery to Online or Hybrid.
  3. Save. Revively confirms that Zoom meetings will be created for the affected sessions.

Delivery stays locked until Zoom is connected and enabled, and the tooltip links you back to Settings → Video.

When meetings are created

Revively creates meetings for sessions in the next 30 days. Sessions further out are marked pending and get their meeting closer to the date, so you are not holding hundreds of unused Zoom meetings.

You do this Zoom does this
Save an online or hybrid session within 30 days Meeting created
Save a session more than 30 days out Meeting pending until it enters the window
Move the session time or date Existing meeting updated
Cancel the session Meeting deleted
Switch delivery back to in person Meeting deleted

Where the join link appears

  • Customers see the join link on the class in the customer portal once they are enrolled.
  • Staff see Join meeting on the session, and Start meeting (host) when they are hosting.
  • Before the meeting exists you will see Zoom meeting link pending.

If you already run a class on a different platform, set a meeting link override on the session and Revively uses yours instead of creating a Zoom meeting.

What Zoom does not cover

Zoom links are created for group class sessions only. One-to-one appointments and ticketed events do not get automatic meeting links.

Turn Zoom off or disconnect

Switching the card off stops new links being created; meetings that already exist are untouched. Disconnect removes the Zoom link entirely, and future online sessions will not create meetings until you connect again.
